Well here is a tip I just picked up from the decorator Stephen Saint-Onge in his book No Place Like Home that I am just chomping at the bit to share. He is known for his cozy and sophisticated designs, along with identifying achievable ways and delightful tricks for creating them. This is just an example of doing just that in a way that everyone involved benefits.
The plan is to establish your own design club. It works like those popular book clubs, but in my opinion far outweighs them in results all around. Sign up anyone who is interested in improving their own home by way of helping other to complete the same for their own houses. Then set a schedule to meet up once a week to work on predetermined projects at one of the member’s homes. While conducting the work, or completing that project, discuss future plans and share ideas on how to undertake those too.
